What I’m Currently Reading – April 2018

I’ve gotten back into books and setting aside time before bed to wind down. Here’s what I’m currently turning the pages of:

Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado

Recommended by a friend. Collection of short stories (I’m only a few in to the book so far), definitely on the darker side of things if you’re into that.

Can be purchases here.

Get Your Sh*t Together by Sarah Knight

Get Your Sh*t Together: How to Stop Worrying about What You Should Do So You Can Finish What You Need to Do and Start Doing What You Want to Do

A few chapters in to this, but Sarah “gets it”, you know? She’s telling it like it is – you relate. But she also makes it clear she isn’t telling you how to live your life or what areas you need to have “together”. She gives some (pretty obvious, but maybe not so obvious) tips and tricks to do exactly what the front cover says – stop worrying about what you should do so you can finish what you need to do and start doing what you want to do.

Can be purchased here.

Poetry for those who have fallen both in and out of love. Beautifully written. Not finished yet, and savoring every new page.

Can be purchased here.

Please feel free to comment any “must-read” suggestions you have for me! I would love to know what books inspire you, let you escape, or that hold a special place in your heart & mind!

xx Marissa
